These Easy Turkey and Cheese Pinwheel Lunchbox Wraps are the perfect solution for busy parents. Made with simple ingredients like cream cheese, turkey, and cheddar, they come together in minutes and hold up beautifully in lunchboxes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 810 slices deli turkey breast
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: thinly sliced cucumber, shredded lettuce, or fresh spinach

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature for 20 minutes or microwaving on low for 10-15 seconds. In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with garlic powder and black pepper until smooth.
  2. Lay one tortilla flat on a cutting board. If stiff, microwave for 10 seconds between damp paper towels.
  3. Spread a thin, even layer of mayonnaise (if using) over the entire tortilla, leaving a 1-inch border. Then spread the cream cheese mixture over the mayo in a thin layer (about 1/8 inch thick).
  4. Arrange turkey slices evenly over the cream cheese, overlapping slightly to cover the surface in a single layer.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar evenly over the turkey and press down gently.
  6. Starting at one edge, roll the tortilla tightly but gently, keeping the filling tucked in. Press the seam to seal.
  7. Tightly wrap each rolled tortilla in plastic wrap or parchment paper, twisting the ends like a candy wrapper. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.
  8. Unwrap the chilled rolls and slice into 1-inch pinwheels using a sharp knife with a gentle sawing motion. You should get about 8-10 pinwheels per wrap.

Notes

Don’t overfill the tortillas. Warm tortillas roll better. Chilling is crucial for clean slicing. Clean your knife between rolls for neat cuts. Add crunchy veggies just before serving to prevent sogginess. These are best served cold or at room temperature.
