A bright, bubbly, and refreshing punch combining fresh strawberries, lemon juice, sparkling water, and a splash of white wine. Perfect for summer gatherings, this easy-to-make sangria punch balances sweet and tart flavors with a sparkling finish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • Juice of 2 fresh lemons plus thin lemon slices for garnish
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons granulated sugar or simple syrup
  • 1 cup (8 fl oz) dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
  • 4 cups (32 fl oz) sparkling water or club soda
  • Ice cubes, as needed
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional), for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse, hull, and thinly slice about 2 cups of fresh strawberries. Place them in a large pitcher or punch bowl.
  2. Sprinkle 2 to 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar or simple syrup over the strawberries. Use a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon to gently press the strawberries to release their juices without completely smashing them. Let macerate for about 15 minutes.
  3. Juice 2 lemons using a citrus juicer, removing any seeds. Pour the fresh lemon juice over the macerated strawberries and stir gently to combine. Add thin lemon slices to the pitcher for garnish.
  4. Measure and add 1 cup (8 fl oz) of dry white wine to the mixture. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Just before serving, pour in 4 cups (32 fl oz) of chilled sparkling water or club soda. Stir lightly to preserve the bubbles.
  6. Fill the pitcher or punch bowl with ice cubes to the top. Add fresh mint leaves if desired and give everything one last gentle stir.
  7. Ladle the punch into glasses, ensuring each serving has a few strawberry slices and a lemon wheel. Garnish with a mint sprig or a fun straw if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Macerate strawberries for at least 15 minutes to release natural sweetness. Keep sparkling water and ice separate until serving to maintain fizz. Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more simple syrup or honey if needed. Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor. Stir gently after adding sparkling water to preserve bubbles. For non-alcoholic version, substitute white wine with white grape juice or extra sparkling water.
