This Easy Copycat Starbucks Pumpkin Cream Cold Foam is a quick and simple recipe that delivers the sweet, velvety crown of pumpkin-spiced goodness without the drive-thru wait. Made with simple ingredients like pumpkin puree, heavy cream, and vanilla syrup, it’s faster, cheaper, and tastes better than the original.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup heavy cream, cold
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk, cold
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 1½ tablespoons vanilla syrup
  • ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of cinnamon, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chill your ingredients. Cold heavy cream and cold milk are non-negotiable. Pop your cream and milk in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before starting.
  2. Combine the wet ingredients. In a small bowl or jar, add the cold heavy cream, cold whole milk, pumpkin puree, vanilla syrup, vanilla extract, and the pinch of salt. Give it a quick stir with a spoon to break up the pumpkin puree.
  3. Add the spice. Sprinkle in the pumpkin pie spice evenly so it incorporates smoothly.
  4. Froth or shake. If using a handheld frother, submerge the whisk head completely and blend for about 30-45 seconds until thick and pillowy. If using a mason jar, screw the lid on tight and shake vigorously for about 60 seconds.
  5. Check the consistency. The foam should be thick enough to sit on top of your coffee without immediately sinking. If too runny, froth for another 10-15 seconds. If too thick, add a splash more milk and gently stir.
  6. Prepare your coffee. Brew your favorite coffee or cold brew. Fill your mug about three-quarters full, leaving room for the foam.
  7. Pour the foam. Using a spatula, gently spoon the cold foam over the back of a spoon onto your coffee to help it float.
  8. Garnish and serve. Sprinkle a little cinnamon or extra pumpkin pie spice on top. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, ensure all ingredients are well-chilled. A pinch of salt enhances the flavors and helps stabilize the foam. If you don’t have a frother, a mason jar works great. Cold foam is best made fresh and does not store well.
