Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the baking pan or line it with parchment paper, leaving a bit overhang for easy removal later.
  2. Melt the butter gently using a microwave or stovetop, then let it cool slightly until warm but not hot.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until combined; the mixture will be grainy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract until the batter looks glossy and thick.
  5. In a separate bowl, sift together cocoa powder, flour, and salt.
