A thick, creamy, and filling protein smoothie that keeps you full until lunch. Made with simple ingredients like banana, peanut butter, and protein powder, it’s the perfect grab-and-go breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large ripe banana, preferably frozen
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 1 scoop (about 30g) chocolate or vanilla protein powder
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes (optional, if using fresh banana)
  • Optional add-ins: small handful of spinach, 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax seeds, pinch of cinnamon, dash of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prep your banana: If using fresh, peel and slice into chunks. If using frozen, take out of freezer and let sit for a minute.
  2. Add liquids first: Pour 1 cup of milk into the blender.
  3. Add peanut butter: Spoon in 2 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter directly into the milk.
  4. Add protein powder: Scoop in 1 scoop of protein powder. Stir briefly if clumping.
  5. Add banana: Drop in banana chunks. If using fresh banana and want a colder smoothie, add 1/2 cup ice cubes now.
  6. Blend until smooth: Start on low speed, then increase to high. Blend for 30-45 seconds until smooth and creamy.
  7. Check consistency: If too thick, add a splash more milk and blend. If too thin, add more ice or frozen banana and blend.
  8. Serve immediately: Pour into a glass or travel cup and enjoy right away.

Notes

For best results, use a frozen banana for a thick, milkshake-like texture. Add liquid first to help blending. Don’t over-blend to avoid warming the smoothie. Can be made dairy-free and vegan with plant-based milk and protein powder.
