A quick and easy homemade iced latte with creamy froth, subtle vanilla sweetness, and a hint of cinnamon for a cozy coffee treat.

  • 2 shots (60 ml / 2 fl oz) freshly brewed espresso
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold whole milk (or oat milk/almond milk for dairy-free)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla syrup (store-bought or homemade)
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • Optional: sweetener to taste (honey, maple syrup, or sugar)

Instructions

  1. Brew two shots (about 60 ml / 2 fl oz) of espresso using an espresso machine or stovetop moka pot. Let cool slightly for 1–2 minutes.
  2. If making homemade vanilla syrup, combine ½ cup sugar, ½ cup water, and 1 tsp vanilla extract in a small saucepan. Heat gently until sugar dissolves, then cool. Use 1 tbsp for the latte.
  3. Froth 1 cup (240 ml) of cold whole milk using a milk frother until smooth and creamy foam forms (about 30–45 seconds). Alternatively, use a French press by pumping the plunger vigorously for about 30 seconds.
  4. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes to chill the drink.
  5. Pour the espresso over the ice to create a swirl effect.
  6. Add 1 tbsp vanilla syrup and a pinch of cinnamon. Stir gently to combine.
  7. Top with the frothed milk, allowing the foam to float on top.
  8. Add optional sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or sugar) to taste if desired.
